Oulu Chamber Choir

Oulu Chamber Choir was founded in 1960 and functions as the choir of Oulu Conservatoire. Oulu Chamber Choir has been conducted over the years by Mr. Topi Kukkonen, Mr. Steven Portman, Mr. Rauno Rännäli, Mr. Elias Palola, Mr. Markku Jounela, Mr. Kari Kaarna and Mrs. Marita Kaakinen. Since January 2016 the artistic director has been Mr. Kristian Heberg

Oulu Chamber Choir sings diverse mixed choir repertoire from 14th century until today. Choir has also performed with many different orchestras singing pieces like J.S. Bach's St Mattheus Passion, W.A. Mozart's Mass in C minor and G.F. Händel's Messiah.

Oulu Chamber Choir has visited Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, Ireland and USA both in concert tours and competitions.
